Faded pictures can often be brought back to life. Of
course how much improvement can be made depends heavily on the
quality of the original image.

Older pictures sometimes acquire spots
and marks. Many of these can be removed. Slides that have been scanned often show dust and other
marks that need to be cleaned off.

Many old photographs have been pasted right onto the pages of an album.These examples suffer from a combination of problems. Much can be done, but they won't be perfect.

A lot of the distracting marks that develop on very old pictures
and tintypes can be removed without destroying the character of
the image.

Slides and Poloroid prints have darkened over time. While we
cannot guarantee successful treatment, your original photos are at
the very least preserved before they deteriorate further.

Pictures that were taken
in the 1960s and 1970s often discolor. The range of colors is
surprising. Many of them have also developed horizontal lines
from being stored in the "magnetic" albums that were
so popular for a while.

Over the years,
many old photographs develop cracks and marks. Some distracting
age spots can be removed without removing the character of the
old pictures.

Torn pictures present a different kind of
problem. We would be very hesitant to attempt to work on faces
that are imcomplete, but backgrounds and clothing can often
be fixed up.

Other problems that may be fixed could include: Selecting
just one person out of a group photo Removing excess background
material. Correcting small items.
