Put Your Family History on a CD

Have you already done a lot of research on your family?  
If you've got documents, photographs, short videos, audio recordings,
heirlooms and other memorabilia it can all be combined in one project that will run automatically when inserted into a computer running Windows 98 or later.

This is a great way to share your family history.
You can include your scanned pictures, family stories that you've collected, charts and gedcom files from your Genealogical Computer program, short video clips and audio tapes of oral history or music recordings by family members.

From your computer genealogy program output, we can produce html files that will link from one person to the next - as web pages do, but it will all be included on your CD.
No internet connection is necessary to view the information.

It's a wonderful take home item for the next family reunion.

• Working together, we can put your pictures, stories, souvenirs, short videos and more into one project that will run automatically when inserted into a Windows computer. The project can include face labels that will show up when the mouse is moved over the faces.  You will be able to zoom in and see items close up.  You can even add voice narration to your pictures and stories.

• For these custom presentations we use a very versatile computer software program called Passage Express.  If you are interested in learning more about the Passage Express program for your own use, you can learn more and download a trial version

Costs will have to be determined based on the amount of work to be done, the type of information to be used, the format your files are in and other variables.

A FLIP BOOK for use on your Computer
 

A Flip Book can provide a different way to share the family history book that you've already written.

If you have your family story already written, we can import text documents (.doc, .rtf or .txt,) add pictures, and scanned charts, census records, wills, etc.
Music or small video files can be included too.
The whole project can then be recorded onto a CD that will play in your computer.
The entire book could also be printed, or you might select just specific pages to print.

A Flip Book could also be created as a remembrance of a particular time or person.
It could be used to write a life story of a favorite person's life.
It could be a wonderful gift if used as a retrospective look at the stages of a marriage at a particular milestone celebration.

Once again, costs will have to be determined based on the amount of work to be done.
We can convert the story that you've typed on a typewriter to text that can be used, either by scanning the pages, or having it retyped.

Your Family papers can also be scanned and saved on CD.  
They can then be easily shared with other family members, thereby increasing the chance of survival into the future.
Family Bibles, diaries, letters, souvenirs and other paper keepsakes can all be saved and duplicated.

GENEALOGICAL DOCUMENTS: Census, Vital Records, Military, etc.

Your Genealogical documents can also be preserved in this manner.
A CD or even a DVD (for computer storage) can be produced that will hold an enormous amount of scanned papers.
Census records, birth, death and marriage certificates, church records, military files, etc. can all be stored on a disc for you to access, print, preserve and share.  

Once scanned and compiled in a Passage Express CD (or DVD) you will be able to zoom in to read the particulars and even search for specific surnames or events. Depending on how your files are named, you will be able to see at a glance what records you already have.
